Family Foot & Ankle Specialists was founded in Greenville and Sulpur Springs, Texas in 1982 by Dr. Steven Brancheau. After 36 years, his practice continues to grow and thrive in multiple communities all over east Texas. Dr. Brancheau graduated from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1980, followed by finishing his 1st year of residency at Doctor's Hospital in Mesquite, TX and his 2nd year of residency at Waldo General (now Swedish Medical Center) in Seattle, WA in 1982. After his 2 years of residency, Dr. Brancheau continued his training with a 1 year fellowship through American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Brancheau is board certified by American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery as well as the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is the co-developer of the MBA (Maxwell-Brancheau Subtalar Arthroereisis implant) U.S patent #6,168,631 B1 Jan. 2, 2001. He has published in several peer reviewed medical journals as well as lectured nationally for many years.
Dr. Brancheau served as the president of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association from 2012-2013. He has also served on multiple committees for the association including budget, continuing medical education, and scope of practice which he now co-chairs. He also serves on the staffs of Hunt Regional Medical Center in Hunt County where he recently served as Chair of the Surgery Department from 2012-2015. He also is on the active medical staff at Christus Trinity Mother Francis in Hopkins County and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall County. As Director of the Hunt Regional Medical Center Residency Program he is immersed in the education of our future podiatrists. The program is a three-year post-graduate medicine and surgery program which he has directed for the past 12 years.
A Leader in his Field
Dr. Brancheau also serves as adjunct clinical professor of podiatric medicine and surgery at many of the colleges of podiatric medicine, including Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine and the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, to name a few. He is involved in clinical research with the residents, the most recent publications include the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, January 2012, Foot and Ankle Specialist, and online Journal of Foot Surgery, all peer-reviewed medical publications with worldwide circulation. His special interests are flatfoot reconstruction (including adults and children), trauma of the foot and ankle, and diabetic foot care with emphasis on surgical reconstruction and limb salvage. He currently resides in Greenville Texas with his wife Denise, he has three children Curtis Brancheau J.D., 85th District judge, Borger Texas, Paul Brancheau D.P.M, practicing at Family Foot & Ankle Specialists, and Ellyn Brancheau Black, Greenville Texas.
Dr. David Minchey has been at Family Foot & Ankle Specialists for 21 years. He attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee from 1978-1982 and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He attended Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois from 1990-1994. After graduation, Dr. Minchey did his surgical residency rotation at Mesquite Community Hospital and Valley View Surgery Center of Dallas from 1994-1995. He is affiliated with Hunt Regional Medical Center, Rockwall Surgery Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall, and Christus Mother Frances Hospital Sulphur Springs. He received his board certification by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in 2002 and is also a certified wound care specialist. His special interests are diabetic foot care, forefoot reconstruction and wound care. He serves as a board member of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and is affiliated with American Podiatric Medical Association. He is an active member of the Boy Scouts of America and has been a part of the National Eagle Scout Association since 1976. Dr. Minchey grew up in Nashville, Tennessee He currently resides in Greenville, Texas with his wife Lisa and they are members of the Creekside Church of Christ. Dr. Minchey has one grown step daughter Sabrina, a granddaughter Arianna, and a grandson Luka.
Dr. Ashley Diamond
Dr. Ashley Diamond graduated with a B.S. in Molecular Biology and Technology from Arizona State University College of Liberal Arts and Science in 2008. She received her podiatry training at Midwestern University School of Podiatric Medicine, Glendale, AZ in 2012. She completed her Postgraduate Education at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas where she obtained extensive training in limb salvage.
